Here I am, once again…

Sitting in my car with a book and a coffee.

Far enough to give Emily the space she needs to grow and conquer but close enough to be there in less than a minute if she needs me.

I love that she is growing and that our friends and community are willing to invest time in her.

Today she’s job shadowing at her cheer club in hopes to find a volunteering opportunity that would help her build more life and social skills.

She took to heart the directions she’s received. She’s branded with her club’s cheer gear, she’s wearing her indoor shoes, she has her long hair in a ponytail and is wearing a cheer bow.

I left her in good hands but …

I am still sitting in my car with a book and a coffee!
