Gratefulness

To be grateful is great.

Some days it’s easier than others.

Can you find reasons to be grateful when you are sick?

I told you yesterday that Emily had a nasty cold IMG_8421

It took her 9 days but she successfully pass her cold to me.

Yeah!!!! (Can you feel the sarcasm?)

So today, I looked for reasons to be grateful.

1. Owning a house with comfy furnitures and hot water.

2. Jonathan works from home so I didn’t have to take a sick day to stay here with Emily

3. Sick days – I could have stayed home today but decided to go to work.

4. Having the disposable income required to stop by the drugstore and buy all kind of lozenges … And some candy bars.

5. Coming home to find that Emily is still sick but better than this morning.

6. My night table with my box of tissues with aloe lotion in them.

7. My bed!

Can you find reasons to be grateful on a bad day?

Rare sighting

Emily has a nasty cold….

I even bough tissues with lotion in them as I worry her nose will turn red.

I’ve been finding yucky Kleenex (tissues) everywhere…

In, on and under her bed.

On the couch, on the living room table and anywhere between those two.

On the bathroom floor, really close to the garbage can…

Over the last 3 days we’ve tried various cold medicine to find a way to help her through this nasty cold.

Last night, my 17 year old wonderful daughter woke-up at approximately 1am, 3am, 3:30am, 4am, 5am, 5:30am and 6am at which point I agreed she could get up.

Emily doesn’t sleep much when she’s healthy and being sick doesn’t help.

As a baby, Emily “NEVER” napped.

I’m not kidding when I say she’s not a sleeper…

So it is now 1:30pm, Netflix is playing the Paw Patrol and this happened.

A rare sighting….

My girl is definitely sick!
