Cri du Chat Syndrome

When asked about her syndrome, Emily will tell you it’s cry like a cat syndrome or 5p- and that she is missing a small piece of the short arm of her 5th chromosome!

When it was time to write about it, I think the word chromosome scared her so she wrote this instead:

“I don’t see myself different”

This statement is more powerful than anything I could ever write.

My favorite people

I am a lucky girl, my favorite people live here, with me.

Just being with them recharge my batteries.

And going out for a late breakfast with them is one of my favorite thing to do.

A little over 10 years ago when we first moved here, we discovered this restaurant in town, the staff is great, the food is basic but good and the service is “not fast“.

The speed (or lack of) for getting your food could be seen as a down side for some but we always enjoy it.Β  We bring things to do or we just chat along.

The staff there know us by name and have enjoyed seeing Emily grown into the beautiful young lady that she is now.

Although Emily brought a book along, she ended-up playing on her phone and Jonathan couldn’t stop himself from trying to help her with her game.Β

I love those 2!

Tell me, how do you recharge your batteries?
