A to Z Challenge – Day 1 – A

A

It’s day 1 of a great challenge that Emily and I joined.

American Girl Dolls
As Emily picked all the words I figured she would write a lot more…

Emily was first introduced to those American Girl Dolls by her friend Abby in 2010 in Boston.

Of course, Em wanted a doll too but I said no and told her that if by her birthday she still wanted a doll that we would consider.

By March 2011, not quite her birthday, we traveled to Dallas with Abby’s family with  some really specific objectives.

  1. Catch a NHL game featuring Chicago.
  2. Discover Krispy Kreme donuts
  3. Buy Emily her first American Girl Doll… Miley

I say first because…

And please don’t judge us to harshly…

Emily now has 15 of those lovely dolls.

Some we ordered onlines, some were purchased by relatives or by Emily herself with money received as gifts.

Others, we bought at the AG store.  We visited: Boston (no dolls) Dallas, Kansas City, New York, Orlando, Toronto and this summer we will add Edmonton 😊.

  1. I love your first post for the challenge and nope, I don’t judge you for those dolls…better than too many video games and then again, to each his own…they really are beautiful dolls…My first Krispie Kreme was when I lived in Toronto.Boy they are so sweet…may as well eat des grandpères dans le syrop d’érable 😉
