So tonight, after dinner, Emily was still hungry.
She wanted a snack.
I asked her to be more specific.
She settled on carrot sticks and dip.
We didn’t have any veggies and dip
So we dressed up and went to the grocery store 🙂
By dressing up, I mean… It’s spring but still really winter here!!! So it’s boots, jackets, scarfs and the car is cold!!!
We did all that for a veggie tray and dip.
I wouldn’t have done it for chips but for a veggie tray…. I couldn’t say no because …. At some point, I did something right.
My girl craves veggies!!!

That’s great. Allie would much rather have veggies than cookies. Her favorite foods are red peppers, olives (both black and green), carrots, green beans, lemons (peel and all), hot yellow peppers and almost any kind of veggie. She’ll eat a salad before she’ll eat pudding. Her brother? His standard response is something like “Give it to Allie. She likes that.”
Emily loves cookies and everything chocolate but I think she actually listens to her body and can tell when she needs veggies or fruits. It’s interesting to see her process the question and decide what to eat. She said no to fresh fruits tonight and ate raw broccoli, carrots, celery and
Wow, your daughter needs to spend some time with my boys. Can’t remember them ever eating a vegetable by choice.
:). It took her so long before she could eat raw veggies but once she started she never stopped!
