What did you do when you had a loose tooth?
What did your kids do?
My girl? My sweet girly girl?
She yanked them out! Literally!
I remember her showing us a loose tooth, it was barely moving…
She went to bed that night and I had forgotten about the not really loose tooth…
Not my girl.
Not my sweet girly girl with her long hair and pretty dresses.
I remember hearing her in the bathroom.
I remember asking her what was going on.
I remember her coming to the living room…
Me looking up and seeing her covered in blood holding her tooth in her hand. So proud of herself!
She doesn’t feel pain like you and I.
How I wish I could switch body with her for a day… I would love to know what’s happening in her head, what she feels when she’s hurt.
I’m just glad she’s done losing(yanking out) teeth.
Funny you posted this today. Félix lost his first tooth at school today! 😮
I saw his picture. Funny timing for sure!
Bailey used to get Bri to do it.
I remember having a friend over at bedtime when one of her teeth was loose: we heard Bri say, “Ok! one……Two….THREEE!!” And then their pitter-patters to the bathroom. I went upstairs to find a gruesome, bloody scene in the bathroom with tiny Bri (maybe 7 years old) holding the tooth, and Bailey grinning and covered in blood.
As usual, I totally hear ya 😉 To live in their mind and feel what they feel. What a ride, right?
Our girls have so much in common! No wonder they just liked each other right away!
When Nick and Angie tried one of the ADHD meds with Allie (I don’t remember which one but I’m sure they do) she literally pulled out two of her permanent teeth. The dentist said that, until they’re about 12 – 14 years old, even the permanent teeth aren’t well rooted and it’s much too easy to pull them out. Needless to say that med was discontinued. Glad Emily has outgrown hers. Allie hasn’t tried for a while. Hoping she’s over it, too.
I’m glad Emily didn’t start working on her adult teeth.
