A to Z Challenge – Day 17 – Q

Q

Quality

My helper (Emily) is asleep and there is no post from her.

For the last couple of weeks, Wednesdays have been crazy busy for Emily, she goes to school and attend her Coop program.  After school, she goes to tutoring for 2 hours, working on her writing than we eat a light dinner before going to cheer practice for an intense hour in preparation for her upcoming competition this weekend.

The letter “Q”, I thought about Quebec than a good friend suggested Quirky which I loved…. I think Emily might have ended-up with Quack and tried to recycle her Duck story.

As I am the one writing, I decided to go with Quality.

Being Emily’s mom, has changed my perspective on many things, she has redefined my life, redefined perfection and given me many life lessons.

I look at quality as a way to describe a moment.

A cuddle, a kiss, a laugh….  quality just like perfection is in the eye of the beholder and to me, Emily and all that she does represents perfection.

The texts she wrote so far in this challenge are short but they are full of Emily, her personality shows in her text… Quality over Quantity!

Emily is not define by her Cri du Chat Syndrome diagnosis, she makes her way, follows on her own path and defines herself and us along the way.
