It’s march break this week and Emily wasn’t awake at 6am this morning.
My girl is a morning person and even more so on days where she’s home with nowhere to go.
7am still no Emily
7:30 nothing
7:45 we open her door, she lifts her head slightly.
She’s alive!
8ish she gets up
8:15
Emily where’s your phone? I couldn’t find it to plug it last night.
It’s in my bedroom
Did you play with it last night after I put you to bed?
Yes!
😊 Jon and I just looked at each other and smiled. Our girl is so honest. What you see is what you get, our girl can’t lie. She tries but she’s not good at it.
While we were just contemplating our girl’s answer I said to Jon that honesty is the best medicine!
From the other room:
No mom, laughter is the best medicine!

When I’m watching any show and somebody isn’t being straightforward, I shout at them cuz I know it’ll turn out bad, and it turns out I’m right. So maybe honesty.
Honesty is always good! I agree with your tv show comment. I tend to react strongly to people withholding information thinking it will be better… It rarely is!

She’s so funny. She knows many expressions and has opinions. It’s incredible and I am enjoying this tremendously. I’m so glad she found her voice.

I find it so entertaining when Emily let those 1 liners escape her mouth. She said something else last night that I thought was awesome but by the time I closed her bedroom door I had forgotten it. Struggling with my short term memory here….
